Considering to study in Canada? This is what you need to be aware of:
The main aspects to be aware of are mostly concerned about choosing the type of the school, which the student will attend.
Here is the list of the different options to choose from based on the needs and desires of the student:
- Linguistic principles – most schools around Canada, in particular in the provinces of Ontario and New Brunswick — the main language is English and accordingly all the subjects are taught in English. However, the province like Quebec has French as the main speaking language, (80% of the population of this region speaks French).
- Cost of the education. There are two options to choose from — public (free education) and private (paid education) schools. The quality of the education does not differ much. However, the private school option is considered to be more «elite», popular, and not everyone could get into those schools due to the competition and higher cost.
- Gender. There are all girls/boys schools which have their benefits and negative aspects. Majority of the schools are gender neutral, however there are few options of the gendered schools.
- The final stage: study permit. To study in any Canadian institution — you must have a valid study permit. This will not be as difficulty considering the fact that you will have your proof and certificate of enrollment to the desired institution.

Secondary education in Canada – is the ultimate goal of most parents for their children, since this education is considered to be one of the best choices in the world. Mostly this is so because there is support from the government: great capital being invested into Canadian educational institutions. Only a few other countries are recognized for this factor as well. Besides, the high quality of education, overall development of the country, the high quality of life, and the opportunities for the Canadian graduates — put Canada ahead of many other first-world nations. These are the ultimate reasons behind every parent’s choice who choose to trust their children to us and Canada as a country.

Secondary Education in Canada: Benefits
Besides the overall information about the quality of life, work and school of this country, there are many other benefits for international students.
For example:
- Educational system unites the European and american traditions, as well as their progress;
- The students are provided with access to advanced technology
- Workshops, exhibitions, seminars, field trips are part of the learning experience; these activities touch upon diverse, school related subjects;
- The provided material is beneficial and could be applied in any sphere of life;
Moreover, graduates graduated from a Canadian secondary institution are provided with higher chances of enrolling to the best post-secondary institutions (colleges and universities). Consequently, this will provide higher chances of receiving the status changes and becoming a Canadian citizen later on.
Another important aspect to consider: the parents of the student/s may also come. The parents’ visa status is valid throughout educational period of their child.
There is another factor needed to consider and as yourself: is the student meeting age requirements to live alone? If not, he/she must live with a guardian. Without an authorized guardian, the student will not be able to come to Canada, and receive a visa. Lacking proper documentation regarding the guardian related aspects, will result in a criminal punishments from the government of Canada.
- Boarding schools; In these schools, children are provided with a living space, food, all the living necessities, and are taken care of by the specialized educators.
- Guardian. In the city where the educational institution of the child is located, the guardian who is a citizen or has a permit is responsible for the child. The family ties are not necessary.
- Parents. The father or the mother have the opportunity to come to Canada, under the status of the guardians. The parent/s will receive the visitor visa status which is eligible during the entire educational period of their child. If wished, our agency could help the parents change visitor visa status to a study or work permit one.
In most cases, one parent chooses to come to Canada with their child. This is not done for the purposes to ensure control over the child, but rather to have better chances of receiving study or work permit, which later lead to receiving a citizenship.
